Terms of Service

Last updated: October 18, 2026

These terms cover your use of Cloud Developer: Real Life Simulator (“Cloud Developer”, “the game”), available at clouddeveloper.dev. The game is made and run by Gian Franco Negron Betetta, an individual based in Peru (“we”, “us”). By playing the game or buying the Founders Edition, you agree to these terms.

1. Who sells the Founders Edition

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

When you buy, Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to the payment itself. Prices are shown in US dollars before checkout; Paddle adds any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live and shows the total before you pay.

2. What you get

Free demo. The Trainee and Junior levels are free to play. Your progress is saved in your browser.

Founders Edition. A one-time payment of US$12 (plus any tax) gives your account:

This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. You will never be charged again for the Founders Edition.

3. Early access

Cloud Developer is in early access. Tickets, levels, balance and features will change as we work on it, and you may run into bugs. Future chapters are in development and we can't promise release dates. We will keep your purchased content available to you as the game evolves.

4. “Lifetime access”

“Lifetime access” means access for as long as we operate Cloud Developer. If we ever decide to shut the game down, we will tell Founders by email at least 60 days in advance.

5. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play the game for your own learning and enjoyment. You may not:

Code you write inside the game is yours. Everything else in the game (the Apex engine, tickets, story, text, art and design) belongs to us or our licensors.

6. Accounts

You need an account to buy the Founders Edition and to use cloud saves. Keep your sign-in email secure: anyone with access to it can sign in as you. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account; if you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy.

We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we do so without a good reason related to your conduct, we will refund your purchase.

7. Learning, not certification

Cloud Developer teaches Salesforce Apex through a simulation. Its Apex engine runs in your browser and covers the language features the curriculum uses; it is not the Salesforce platform and does not behave identically in every case. The game does not guarantee that you will pass any certification exam or get a job.

Salesforce and Apex are trademarks of Salesforce, Inc. Cloud Developer is an independent game, not affiliated with or endorsed by Salesforce, Inc. The companies, people and products in the game's story are fictional.

8. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked. See the Refund Policy.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The game is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these terms, and our total liability to you for any claim related to the game is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game grows. If a change materially affects what Founders bought, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Peru, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in the country where you live.

12. Contact
